Everything I Know About Geology

(Well practically)

Sedentary - loose sediment which gets compacted together to form ROCKS.

Igneous - ROCKS made from crystals that are formed from cooling lava/magma (not sure which).

Metamorphic - any kind of ROCK which then gets buried, boiled, and squeezed.

...So anyone have any additional insights?

Stalagmites (geological cave growths that grow from the ground up) and stalactites (same, but from the ceiling to the floor).

I remember something else about the hardness/softness of rocks...but I couldn't tell you anything other than that.

Yup...that's about it. :)
